Nigerian 419 email scams being replaced by Russian dating scams

It appears, at least in Australia, that the good old fashioned $20m Nigerian 419 email scam is dying out.

Yes the latest and greatest scams are letters from these “luscious” hotties from the Ukraine or Russia, dying to get their hands on a new Aussie hubby. Yep we are talking about emails depicting a hottie in her 20’s begging for some geriatric old bastard to “marry” her so she can move to Australia and live happily ever after “with him”.

Sad news folks, 99.999% of these emails are from ugly mugu scammers, attaching a photo of some honey from the backwoods of a russian brothel, and starting line of correspondence. Then the hits come, they are ready to emigrate but need some cash to bribe the authorities, can’t transfer the bank accounts, need cash for the fees and they will transfer their avings to your account, etc etc etc.

Why can’t people remember that: if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
