It’s absolutely amazing how since the big interntional economic crunch, even absolutely free sites like OziFree are now suffering from a lack of traffic.

It would be easier to understand that ecommerce sites should be suffering as less people are spending money - but Free stuff?? - How does free stuff relate to expenditure? Maybe people are cutting back on electricity and broadband fees? Our advise is - don’t be shy - get over to OziFree.com and get all your share of the free stuf while it lasts!

One would assume that e-store owners for one would be trying their damndest now to increase their traffic flowsand gain free backlinks through mediums such as the OziFree PlugPanels, but no, things have gone quiet there too

Plugtastic Reloaded - Get well soon Artie

OziFree Blogs get a free make-over

Well it was overdue, and the blog system needed spam-bot proofing, so we got to work and revamped the entire site.

Bloggers now get a choice of 5 different templates or themes to choose from at the moment. Basically, there is Red - Blue - Green - Gold and this default bluish theme to display your blog in.

All the bugs and glitches have been attended to, so no more error messages about headers already being sent or page not found etc.

We have added a code number into the signup system to try and stem the flow of the thousands of pea-brained spammers and their blog-bots from creating useless wasted space blogs about their viagra experiences!

Spammers creating accounts manually, will still have to contend with posting manually, and park their bots elsewhere while on this site. Any promotional sites chasing click-thru’s, adverts, backlinks or page rank will be carefully monitored until they are producing a nice referer result for their site owner, and then we will edit them to reflect our own sites and products after you have done all the hard work. So spammers - be warned.

Genuine Bloggers on the other hand are more than welcome, and can blog away to their hearts content, using one of the best free blog sites available here in Australia.

It appears, at least in Australia, that the good old fashioned $20m Nigerian 419 email scam is dying out.

Yes the latest and greatest scams are letters from these “luscious” hotties from the Ukraine or Russia, dying to get their hands on a new Aussie hubby. Yep we are talking about emails depicting a hottie in her 20’s begging for some geriatric old bastard to “marry” her so she can move to Australia and live happily ever after “with him”.

Sad news folks, 99.999% of these emails are from ugly mugu scammers, attaching a photo of some honey from the backwoods of a russian brothel, and starting line of correspondence. Then the hits come, they are ready to emigrate but need some cash to bribe the authorities, can’t transfer the bank accounts, need cash for the fees and they will transfer their avings to your account, etc etc etc.

Why can’t people remember that: if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

The joys of having your very own dedicated server. There aren’t any. Unless you count the faster access speeds, better data transfer in other words, less downtime etc.

No-one mentions the downsides. Like the greatly increased monthly costs, or the hourly fees for a “remote-hands” techies to re-boot it, or just thump it for you. Lets not forget the constant upgrading of server software, almost daily in fact just to stay ahead of the scammers, hackers, and dickheads.

Then there’s the stuffups, like when you forget you are logged in as “root” and you upgrade a users site for them, then they come back screaming because they cannot overwite the html file that is now owned by user “root”. No matter, a quick “chown -R” should fix that.

So you try to offset your costs with a few Google Adsense adverts, and the money really starts to roll in, and you find that in no time at all you are earning nearly $10 bucks a month! Yep, that certainly goes a long way towards paying for that server not.

I love seeing the 468×60 banners on plugsites that have affiliate IDs coded into the URLs. All these people plugging away trying to make money on the internet. Have you seen those ads for ebooks like “click to learn how I made a million dollars” or “The secrets of making millions on the internet” etc?

I hate to pop bubbles but…. why would a multi-millionaire bother to write eBooks on “how to make a million”. You don’t think that he/she would rather spend time on their yacht, than sit up all night tapping away at a keyboard??

How about the ads with the pictures of the mansion and the porsche, you reckon they are real???? do you???? uhhuh… okay then, and Santa lives next door to the Easter Bunny doesn’t he.

Yes, you can make a few bucks on the net, but if you seriously think that you are going to be a millionaire by getting in an affiliate “line”, then I strongly recommend you buy a new shovel before Christmas, just to clean up the reindeer droppings, as Rudloph suffers irritable bowel syndrome.

If it was that easy to become wealthy, then there would be no-one left on the internet, as they would all be out cruising in their yachts. We run Google Adsense and a few Clixgalore adverts on the OziFree site. OziFree gets hundreds of unique hits every day, and we make enough out of our adverts to buy a new 5litre can of instant coffee every month. Unfortunately, the coffee only lasts us 2 weeks, but we are working on it.

We anticipate having enough empty coffee cans within 3 years, so that we will be able to start work assembling them into the hull for our new millionaires yacht. Lets have a look in the “who’s who” and see the exact ratio of self-made millionaires to internet eBook proclaimers. Yep I thought so. There is Willy Gates tapping away on his keyboard, just wrapping up the final chapter on “Make a Million in less than 3 minutes - I did”. There is you spending $50 bucks buying his eBook. No, it’s not probable nor likely that you would spend $50 buying his book, do you know why, because Bill Gates doesn’t need to write a $50 buck eBook, and nor could he be bothered.

So who actually makes the money then? Glad you asked, remember that can of coffee, well we make that because you bought the $50 buck ebook, and sit up all night plugging banners adverts on plugboards. Oh, and the real winner is Nes`Cafe who manufacture the coffee, they make the big bucks. Yes the secret is now revealed right here on the OziFree website - if you want to be a millionaire, then plant a coffee bush! Now that you know, please keep the information to yourself, as we didn’t charge you $50 for it, you got it for free from OziFree as usual. We just don’t want everybody to rush out and buy a coffee bush at the plant nursery, otherwise the ratio will alter, and the only millionaires will then be nursery-men.

Keep plugging those banners, I’d like another cup, white, 2 sugars please.
